Where Does Our Cacao Come From?
Most of the world’s cacao originates from tropical regions near the equator, with the majority – about 70% – sourced from West Africa. However, the highest-quality, heirloom cacao comes from Latin America, where it has been cultivated for thousands of years.
We source our ceremonial-grade cacao from the lush regions of Peru, where cacao is still grown, harvested, and processed using traditional methods that honour the plant’s sacred origins. This ensures that the cacao retains its rich nutritional profile, distinctive flavour notes, and energetic potency.
In regions such as Guatemala and Belize, cacao remains an integral part of spiritual rituals, just as it was for the ancient Maya and Aztec civilizations. The cacao beans are minimally processed to preserve their natural alkaloids, minerals, and antioxidants, offering a deep, heart-opening experience with every sip.
